Tommy pushes his car while his friends just watch. He reaches a hotel, and says, "Guess I'm out, I'm broke," and leaves. What happened here?

did his friends bet that he could push the car to the hotel but he thought he couldnt so he bet all his money?

nope, there wasn't much problem in his pushing his car to the hotel
