wrong you had it right first time...

The first recorded hole in one was produced in 1869 by "Young" Tom Morris, then 17, at Prestwick in Scotland. The most lucrative ace was produced in 2001 by a pro who has been struck by lightning. Participating in the ESPN Par-3 Shootout, Lee Trevino earned $1,010,000 for acing No. 7 at Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Mich.
