maybe his wife is hes boss, and hes 'under the thumb' and her thumb constantly being on his forehead pushing him down has made him lose an inch!!

OK sorry I havent been in to answer some of your wacky answers

But I have to give this one to Kay now why did I get the feeling she would know this one...well done hun

He was an Air Force jet pilot who had to eject after a midair collision
The ejector seat threw him out with an enormous acceleration of over 100 Gs
This acceleration compressed the vertebrae in his back making him an inch shorter
But after rest and recovery and medical treatement he returned to his normal height
