A gang of criminals were loading a van with television sets that they were stealing from a warehouse when they suddenly heard the siren of an approaching police car
They could not avoid or outpace the police car

How did they escape?

they had a big gunfight and none of them were injusred then they moved to south africa, joined a political party, became powerful leaders and nuked the police stations of the world.... now that deserves points
