NASCAR AT INDY
Well it is the 2nd big race at Indy each year! Anyone got thoughts about the brick yard.

I am hoping that Tony Stewart will win there again and climb the fence! If not him, anyone that isn't Hendrick or soon to be Hendrick, winning will be ok! Robby if you get tickets, you HAVE to take me along!

Nascar is full size racing automobiles, based on the cars that are sold to the public. but in no way could you drive them on the street. Of course we also do open wheel cars, and sport car type racing.

They run on both circle tracks and road tracks. None are similar to Road Rallys which we also do here in the US.

Now Tony has won again! His 6th win at Watkins Glen! He is the new King of the road courses! If memory serves me correctly, that is 3 wins in short order! I can taste another Championship!

NASCAR is an acronym that stands for National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing. When they first started out the cars were just that, stock, just cars that had been bought at a dealer. Most of the first drivers were old bootleggers who had modified the engines to be able to outrun law enforcement of the day. Now a days there really isn't anything stock about the cars. The chassis are still stock as far as measuremnts, but that is about it.
