NASCAR AT INDY
Well it is the 2nd big race at Indy each year! Anyone got thoughts about the brick yard. Anyone got free tickets so I can go!!

Nascar is full size racing automobiles, based on the cars that are sold to the public. but in no way could you drive them on the street. Of course we also do open wheel cars, and sport car type racing.
They run on both circle tracks and road tracks. None are similar to Road Rallys which we also do here in the US.

NASCAR is an acronym that stands for National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing. When they first started out the cars were just that, stock, just cars that had been bought at a dealer. Most of the first drivers were old bootleggers who had modified the engines to be able to outrun law enforcement of the day. Now a days there really isn't anything stock about the cars. The chassis are still stock as far as measuremnts, but that is about it.
