Marvel will be making their first Fantasy film like LotR, and Thor will be the character they use for it, for a hopeful release in 2009.


The Director will be Matthew Vaughn of Stardust
Writer is Mark Protosevich
Composer is Ilan Eshkeri
Director of Photography is Ben Davis

From what is known so far, the Movie will take place in the past during the Viking era while Thor is in his early 20's.
No Actors have been chosen for any parts as of yet, Altho Vaughn has said he has his eyes on an unknown London actor for the part of Thor.

The sript was given to Marvel and Marvel said the first draft would have run 300 MILLION, and they told Vaughn and Protosevich to cut it by half.
Marvel has paid the Consessions to the Writers guild and the script is being worked on. Hopefully we'll be hearing more soon.
