emptiness as i graze into the sunset, i lay myself in a field as i watch the sun set with my telescope in hand and wait till darkness approaches. Lying there, a deer approaches, i turn and spook it as it runs to a safer location , far from me with its tail lifting to full alert as he looks over to my direction as to why this being is there to begin with. As the sun is removed from view the field becomes a pitch dark field of silence. I set up the telescope and look intro the sky, upon that i see the big and little dipper, Orion's belt, a storm of meteors as they shower my view. Then out of the blue i see this strange light, hovering, then approaching me as i look through the telescope then through my eyes as i see it overhead.Its a massive light, as if death has succumbed me and i was looking into the light as i seek the dismal hope of some type of purity as to what this is. And in a bleak moment its gone as is, me, as i pass out and wake up to the sun rising over the horizon, that deer from the night before gazing at me closer , tail down unnerved by my presence looks me in the eye as we stare at each other. There may be hope for me once again in this never ending battle i have been dealt. I feel a new found surety to the day as i pack up my belongings and walk steadfast as i begin a new day.
