something to look forward to
its my 60th birthday and the yrs have been good to me
a long and sometimes winding road but neither the less it been a good life, my little girl cant make it this yr she in her last yrof law school and with all the things going on in her life she just cant make it in town this week, she called this morning things are going good for her and thats the best gift she could have given me, my life would not been so blessed without her and i thank god for her everyday, we still dont talk much about her mom as she has remarried now and is happy, i still cant forget the hurt i caused her by walking out when she was just a kid, but now we have moved past it and cherish the time we have, and i have also moved on i have remarried and she is all i could have ever wanted i could not have wished for a better person to have taken along for the ride beside me, from the first time i had this silly notion of buying my first home and remolding it and even if we didnt get rich from the sale she stuck with me and now i own one of the biggest and most respected home remodling companies in Texas, well i guess i'll get ready for work now and look unto the futer since 60 is the new 40 i have the rest of my life to live.............................................. .. |
