Reunion
We look around, wondering where the blood was coming from, then we saw the wolfman high in the trees, with his tongue down and blood rolling off of it. Just when we were about to run, we heard the cackle of the man we killed--we thought we killed, at least. We turned around slowly and saw his ugly, yellow teeth gleaming in the moonlight. "You thought a mere 70 foot fall could kill me?" He asked sarcasticly, "HOW DARE YOU!" His smile disapeared from his face and was replaced by an angry scowl. We heard a thud behind us and inched our way slowly around to see the wolfman face to face with us, snarling loudly. We could smell the blood of Erva, the snakeboy, on his breath, even though it's been years since he died. Just when I thought this predicament couldn't get any better, the sun was breaking through the clouds. "Dammit, sunrise came earlier then I expected." He made the mistake turning his back, in 2 swift movements I was up on Crepsley's back, running through the forrest.
We found a cave off to the side and jumped in there. I helped Crepsley block off the entrence with a bolder. "We underestimated the Council, Darren, we have to watch our backs now. Every predator we faced, every enemy we've ever had, are all coming against us. We must make wise decisions, as you and I both know, failure is not an option." I already knew that, without being reminded with every fight we have, luckily he couldn't see the expression on my face when I thought that. We didn't sleep that day, seeing that each second of our time is just as precious as night. When we heard the birds flocking and the clouds rolling over we pushed the boulder to the side and got ready to fleet into the night-or what's of it at least-but got stopped dead in our tracks. We couldn't believe what we saw, it was Mr.Tiny! Crepsley knew what this meant before the thought even flashed my mind, just when he was about to talk, Tiny's voice boomed and echoed in the tiny cave,"DARREN, CREPSLEY!!!" Crepsley knew this was a trap, so he motioned me closer to him, behind him to be more percise, slowly lifting me onto his back. "What do you want?" I even felt the bitterness in his words, and they weren't even detected towards me. Mr.Tiny just smiled, and moved out of the way, before we knew what was happening we were both pinned down to the ground. I glared into the eyes of my attacker, but couldn't see anything-but a blue hood-ironic I thought to myself. I saw him reach up and pull back his hood, the sight i hated the most. I shot a quick glance over in Crepsley's direction and saw the same, but down by his side was a fist, I realized that he had the poison. In three very swift movements, the blue-man went flying back, mine fell off me, and I was at Crepsleys side, claws drawn, awaiting orders. We all three sat there, me and Crepsley eyeing Tiny, and Tiny just giving us the menacing glare he gives. Crepsley made the lurch, but he wasn't fast enough, as soon as he did he was flung across the cave and sprawled against the wall. I went to go turn back around but I felt hands grip me and throw me before I could see them. I landed right next to Crepsley, getting up I glanced towards Tiny's direction, he was gone. Seeing that was closer then the purplefreak, we decided to go. Go without looking back. We knew that tonight our destination must be reached. To be continued.....
