My Grandma
I sit and ponder about my g'ma sometimes. The way she used to do everything. She was more country than I am to this day. I used to go to church with her every sunday. I wasn't made to go I went because I wanted to be with her. I enjoyed each moment I spent with her. Working in her garden, going fishing, her teaching me how to play the piano, her teaching me to crochet, how to cook a little, even teaching me how to pluck a chicken for cooking.
But most of all I enjoyed just sitting with her and her reading her bible to me. This was the greatest time for me. I lost her when I was only 12 years old. These memories hold true in my mind very strongly as I live my life. She was a major influence when I was young. I always wonder what my life would have been like if she had been here throughout my adult life. I will always cherish her inside my heart. Love you Granny!! |

You brought back so many good memories, of my MA MA! The Farm, the food, the things she told me about life! Yeah I can picture her in a bonnet, with an apron on, pitching hay with my Grandfather on to a horse drawn wagon.
I was lucky enough to have her around for many years, but those early years are so clear to me.
