Intel optimistic about future nettop performance
Although Intel is optimistic about the sales performance of Atom-based nettops, some PC vendors doubt nettops will be as successful as netbooks. According to Intel forecasts, between 2008-2011 netbook and nettop shipments will together see annual double digital growth. Netbooks are expected to see shipments of 47 million units over the three years, while nettops are expected to ship 60 million units.
