The music that you secretly love but publicly hate.

Seriously, I like a good rock song just as much as the next guy but that's not all that i listen to. I am going to lay my neck, and pride, on the line and guess that it isn't all you listen to either. Yes, I'm talking about that taboo genre, MUSICALS!!!

Let's be honest, no one in there right mind would ever admit to liking them and not expect to have it thrown in their faces the rest of their misirable lifes, but some how the art form still survives and even thrives. Big TV stars, High School kids, and even the average Joe off the streets wants to be in one some day. Broadway is bigger than ever shootting out hits and stars as fast as they can make them.

And still people feal the driving need to hide the soundtracts when friends come over. Still any kid who is caught singing a bar of "Memory" is bound to lose his lunch money in the near future. Why? Because of some insane sterotype that Musicals are for the wimps who can't play a sport. Which is Bull. At my old school the people in the musicals were star on the local team or in rock bands.

So here is my Plea, no my call to arms. Stop listening to "Grease" in the dark. No more hiding your ticket stubs to the biggest shows. Now is the time to take a stand. Musicals are having a come back so all ye hinding fans come back!

Just because some one listens to the ossasional musical soundtrack or see's the occasional show does not mean that that is all that they listen to, it just means that they like one or to or all of the songs in the play.

Hey, I'm not ashamed! I fell in love with musicals in the 6th grade. I enjoy watching The Sound of Music, Newsies, Oliver, and Grease (1st one) time and time again. Heck, I even like Disney's High School Musical. Point is: If there's dancing and singing, it's my kinda movie.

On the other hand, I love to listen to Britney Spears in my car. I even made a tape. But, when I am stopped at a light and another car is beside of me with windows down, I roll mine up or turn it off.

Has anyone seen Wicked? I have the soundtract and some of the songs make me laugh, it's great, still haven't seen it though. I almost got a chance to but the other people in the group waited to long and now where going to see Hairspray. For that matter, has any one seen hairspray, and what is it about?

Well, I like Caltic music, New Age and all the similar stuff. None of my friend listen, none of them like and none of them understand why I listend such music. But I never hide it, everyone know, but form the other hand I try not to talk about it much.
