Apocalyptica
Apocalyptica is a FinnishCello metal trio (formerly a quartet), composed of classically trained cellists and, since 2005, a drummer. All three cellists are graduates of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland.
They were made what I will call semi popular a few years back when they released a CD called something on the account of "4 guys play metallica on cello" They have a really unique sound and I would reccomend a listen to them if you enjoy metal and classical music. To be honest it is kind of two great tastes that taste great together. I love Apocalyptica.

lol A while ago I figured most people either love them or hate them. I really havnt heard too many people who were lukewarm about it.

they do have a really good style of music. And it's really smart for them to throw in lead singers with alot of their songs. Currently, my favorite is Anything But Love featuring the lead singer of Lucana Coil. It's pretty good, but that's not surprising from them.
