Why is it some people do that which needs to get done, when it needs to get done, without comment while others either neglect it or appear shell shocked when no fanfare comes from their meager accomplishment of a normal daily chore? I'm talking about daily human maintenence like working...be it going to a job, the feeding, tending, clothing and cleaning that goes with being in family, caring for pets, having roommates. Why do some folks make the most mundane chores seem like an unattainable goal. Sometimes not even trying as if they know failure is emminent. "Where do I start?", they say. For pete's sake, just start...anywhere, just DO something constructive. Don't sit around and pick at other people while you dwell in your discontent when you ARE part of the problem. If the world stopped doing anything constructive due to illness, pain, heartache, etc...life would grind to a screeching halt with only misery and dispair left over.

Getting along with others seems to be a must also, as being rude about your daily life just brings you down as well as those you come into contact with. You can pass on a bad mood but why not smile through your adversity and make it better for yourself and others?

JFK said "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country", well that also applies to relationships, any relationship. First take care of yourself, then help others. Simple concept, but So many seem to keep a counter like "I did 5 good things for you, where are mine?" Lifes not like that, you get back everything you give but it may not be in the same way you gave it or from the same person.

Why don't more people look in the mirror not to say, poor little me (sad) or I deserve better (angry) or I'm no good (hopeless), but to see what about themselves they DO like and how they could improve themselves, thereby improving their life and the lives of those they care about?

Why isn't there more kindness, compassion, and humor shown? Yes, take life seriously but do it with humor and tolerance of what getting by in daily life means. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, don't neglect the chickens you already have, appreciate them and care for them and laugh when goofs occur, because goofs will always occur.

Forgive yourself and move on. Dwelling on the bad in yourself or others is like quicksand, you only sink and anyone trying to help you runs the risk of being pulled in.

So you're down, go cheer someone else up. So you're angry, rise above it and forgive the same you'd wish to be forgiven in a similar instance. So you don't feel good, remember the poem "I sighed because the walk was long, then I met a man with no legs". Someone will always have it better than you and someone will always be worse off. Life is not a point system, its what we actually experience while the unknown future approaches.

Hate and anger are strong emotions. So, why on earth do folks give the power over their emotions to complete strangers and allow them control enough to cause harm? If I care about you, I really care what you think. If I don't know you, I will try to communicate toward friendship or at least understanding, but if it goes negative, pfft, I shall smile and walk away relatively unaffected. I choose to be happy. Deal with it as you will.

I know, physician heal thyself...well I'm trying, been trying for as long as I can remember and will continue to do so. Like everyone else, I am a work in progress. Please, dear God, bless us all, we really need it.
