Make sure that everything on your end is setup for your mic. Then follow these steps:
1st: Join the room
2nd: Click on the Web Cam icon located at the top
3rd: Then select "Send Audio/Video" link located on the small box
4th: *If you get the Macromedia Security Warning select ok
