WHEN REALITY SETS IN


Ever feel like giving up on all that you know,
Life feels as though its crashing down on you all at once.
Not knowing whether to tough it out any more or not,
Only wanting the pain you feel now to end once and for all.
Hoping that one day everything will fall into place,
Things seem to be happening all so fast.
Moving so fast that you feel as if your spinning,
Trying to keep your grip on reality.
Watching as it all slowly falls apart before you,
Feeling like there is nothing you can do to stop it.
The control you had over everything is slowly fading away,
Struggling to keep the hold you have on the control.
This struggle is an up hill battle is how you’re starting to feel,
So many thoughts clouding your judgement.
Finding it hard to figure out which thoughts are more important,
All you know is that you must make the best of the time you have.
Wondering from day to day if that day is your last,
Loneliness beginning to set in on your mind.
Even in a crowded room, you still feel so alone,
From the corner I see your tears streaming down your face.
Suddenly your pain is my pain,
I feel what you keep hidden deep inside.
Hidden away from the world cause you are trying to be ‘strong’,
Know that you are never alone and even the strong shed tears of pain and sorrow.
