A RAY OF HOPE IN THE DARKNESS

Rough times in life seem to all that’s left any more,
Good times are becoming few and far between.
Now is when we need to look within ourselves,
And find that strength we hold deep inside.
Grief stricken and confused from the news I just heard,
Searching for meaning in this life.
Wondering if there will ever be a ray of hope,
To shine down upon these dark times.
Clouds of darkness seem to stretch for miles,
Covering all that used to bring joy to everyone.
Who holds the key to bringing back the light,
In this lifetime will maybe the light will return.
If we all reach down inside and pull our hidden strength up,
And fight away the darkness I’m sure a ray of hope will shine bright.
Even when we feel we have nothing left to give,
There is always that little piece of strength we hide.
Never has there been a greater need for that strength then now,
Holding together the best we know how.
Some times it seems that just holding together isn’t enough,
But it’s all we can do until the day our strength comes from inside.
