Permenance
This is for a dear friend, who lost love and is having to deal with that loss, but still stands strong. I love you girl!
Standing over your permenance Knowing you will never move again The stone that now serves as your face And the cherubs are all that are looking back So much I left unsaid Haunting me now Things I kept hidden from you Secrets tormenting my soul You were all my heart could love My only reason for rising in the morning The only air I could breathe in Where was this strength before When you could have taken me in your arms And kissed my lips And tell me you love me back But in that grave You will only hear the faint muffles Of tears steadily flowing Soft whispers you are unable to understand Raindrops like rose petals fall gently on my face And my pain carries me away Hoping you finally heard All I could never say When it was more than this permenance Coldly staring back. |
