Across the room
You saw me from across the room The eyes of your heart sought me I stood bare, naked inside You made yourself known to me I feared deep inside You drew me in How exposed I felt My guard dropped as you assured me your love would hold firm No ring on my finger but a promise i bore I held firm to our love no matter what blew our way Life got crazy and I had no choice No way to voice I returned and you'd turned My heart fell to the floor Lost and bewildered All those fears now confirmed No matter what where or why my love would have stood by your side through the test of time I feel so lost now shattered and torn That promise I wanted it kept, to see through to the end Now I sit broken across the room My silence inside screams pain of loss I knew that love, it had beauty deep within You made me feel so secure so loved You crowned my heart security adorned Now rejected it pains me Always and ever became whatever whatever resounds within my inner soul as it was stripped from me my heart my soul my life If I could wish it all back what good would that do You know how it is, I sense it inside I sit across the room and keep this pain within Time has passed and yet my love never ends Tears drip daily in memory of us echo silently through eternal distances both before and beyond I pray always for you great things Never will these prayers cease, they are yours alone For you. I hold my tongue, and silence my voice As I sit here across the room  This candle resembles more than the naked eye can see The hands behold more than a natural substance This candle burns eternally...always and ever
