If I may introduce myself and my wife ---
I live in Texas with my wife of 41 years, both of us former members of the Reagan Administration and both in our '60s, but still following current events (she despite her early onset Alzheimer's). I'm the son of a career naval aviator (recently deceased), who served on the only aircraft carrier sunk by a kamikaze; so, I've lived all over the U.S. and on Guam. My wife is a member of the Chickasaw Nation from Oklahoma, Scots-Irish on her Dad's side. We're both fans of Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Badfinger, Don Williams, the Hollies, Ron Goodwin, and Gordon Lightfoot. She likes the Guess Who and the Platters more than I do, but we both enjoy doo-wop, country and southern gospel, movie scores, old-time radio shows, some contemporary Christian music, country, classical, some show tunes, and she loves marches while I can only take them for so long. I'm retired military through Army Reserve service. We're both Conservatives with libertarian streaks, protestant (Presbyterian Church in America, i.e., theologically conservative), avid readers and movie buffs. I love both mystery and sci-fi, especially history mystery and anything with a sense of humor. I believe that those who won't fight evil always condemn those who do. My wife believes a Native American is anyone who was born here -- human beings are not native to the Western Hemisphere, so we all came from somewhere else originally. She says American Indians prefer to be known by their tribal name; if you don't know it, please don't patronize them with a politically correct term made up by guilt-ridden Liberals in academia and government bureaucracies.
