This is where I will safely say the things that I must....for I know he will never read them here.

FIRST: The background story

I met this wonderful man 2 years ago. He lived in the apartment across from me and let me tell you something....boy was (and still is) FINE. We would shyly say hello to each other and smile and bat our eyes and do this cute litte wave. Ok...in other words it was COMPLETELY sickening. Time moves on. I got a boyfriend or two but this wonderful man I cant keep my eyes off of stands by and just watches (mainly because he was TERRIFIED to let me know he had a thing for me ). Then time goes on and I move.

I moved back to my "home town" but my best friend Alisha still lived in the same apartment complex. He couldnt stop talking about me, asking about me, wanting my number, stuff like that. Well....after Rodney and his last disappearing act (Rodney is another story for a different day...trust me it is worth a blog all its' own) I was PISSED and went to my friend's house (both the man and Alisha since they are neighbors) and he was there for me 100%...listened...batted his eyes and was shy. We started getting more brave about the flirting thing (but you know it is me so I was COMPLETELY obvious lol). And then came the kiss.

I can remember the first time he kissed me. First time I had ever seen fireworks after a kiss if you get my drift. The world stopped there was no sound, no wind, just the touching of lips and the breath that escaped us both as our eyes opened....lol....wow likea romance novel or something there...but that is what it was like! ANYWAY..that was May 14. I knew that moment that I wanted him in my life...and May 16 he asked me to be his girlfriend (how high school is that lol)...but I said yes, and I am walking on with no regrets!

Now comes the

ENGAGEMENT

He bought me a ring....put it in this beautiful silver rose, took me to dinner and at the table put that rose infront of me. (it was at Applebee's..my fav restaurant). I remember the tears in his eyes when he asked me...told me that he KNEW that I was the one for him. I was really sick and was in need of surgery and he still wanted to be with me. I am always going to be a plus size woman....got my issues, and he STILL wants to be with me. I said yes...would say yes 20 yrs from now...would have said yes 2 years ago....I think it is meant to be....and I cannot wait until the future!
