If only
If only i were you, and you were me
only then ,we would truly see
maybe then ,we could compare
how each of us has fought despair
and then we'd know how each person could cope
how to press on, and reach for hope
the world could be, a better place
we'd put a smile on every face
But unless, or until that time happens by
all we can really do is try
trample through, on our endless quest
for love, peace, joy and hope ,for the best
live each day as a more loving friend
cause that is how, i'm gonna spend
the rest of my time, that i have left here
showing all my friends, that i really care
