Screwd up again

Ok I am not someone who knows nothing about cars, shoot I have worked on all of my own vehicles and alot of my friends through the years.Although sometimes I wish I that some straping man would come to my rescue, I usually can hold my own. Yesterday I went outside to do some work I have been putting offfffff way to long mostly because of weather and not having a safe place to do it, bu talso I have to admit because I was hoping a certain straping man was going ot have time to help me.Well he hasn't had the time and I couldn't go much longer with out my car.

So on the nicest day so far I went out to change my breaks, well thats what I was supposed to do. I moved my car on to the side walk, the only safe place to work right now,and set out for my task. I got out the car to find I had a flat. Well here where my first mistake came in. I decided to wait to change that, since it was in the front, until I finished the back breaks. I should of known better since this would put the car off center and could cause problems and since this is not the best situation I'm working should of considered it.But I started to set up the jack, I couldn't come from the side with the jack cause of the position of the car and the width of the side walk. I set the jack up from the back and loosed the lug nuts to get me started. I started to jack up the car and found that I couldn't get it up high enough to do anything.Dam jack! I was getting mad, this is not something good cause I am known for not thinking when Iam mad. I lowered the jack went inside for a min to warm up and get a drink.

When I came back out I decided that I needed to change the flat tire. I got my spare and set to work again Hoping that I could come up with a solution to the break situation. I had to move the car some so I could get to the tire, unfortunitly this meant I had to hang some of the car off the side walk, I thought about it and came to the conclusion that this might just be the best way. That maybe doing this would help the jack lift up enough so that I could get this done. Well I loosened the lug nuts and lifted the car, when I got the car lifted I started to take the tire off with out looking at my clearence for the good one. That was my worst mistake, Ihad the tire almost all the way off before I realized that the good one won't go on the car was not high enough. I didn't worry about it right then I would just lift the car up a lil more, it was not that far off, maybe just 2 inches 3 at the most.Well let me tell you how much of a sifference 3 inches makes, I got the tireoff and went to adjust the jack and found that in my unthinking I didnt' realize that the jack was all the way up. This is not good at all! Well ok then 3 inches right I can do this just get the bad tire back on and go from there, right? Wrong I tried to get the bad tire back on the car. I tried for over an hour to get that dam thing back on! Well while trying for the last time to do this, the jack being at its highest decided that it would slip, luckily the tire was sitting where it caught in the center hole. this is very lucky for I was right there and my foot sliped as the jack did and if the tire didn't catch, well lets not think of that. So now I basically have a 2 ton paper weight on my side walk dangerous paper wieght. And noone to help me fix it, with out spending money I don't have. And of course to top this all off it started snowing again last night and still hasn't stoped yet today. I dont' know what to do .
I feel like an idiot, I should of known better.
