how fast is your internet connection?

my i.s.p claims to provide me with a connection speed of up to 20MB. after running a speed connection test i was very dissapointed with the results. granted there are certain condition which can slow down our speeds, such as the amount of network traffic at any one given time, speed of your network interface card, condition of your phone line and the distance that you acsess the internet from an exchange. i tested for two weeks my speeds and not surprisingly the best speeds my connection achieved were at four o clock in the morning.
the conditions under which i ran the tests were as follows;
broadband dsl connection
high voltage phone line
point n wireless network interface card
and a two mile distance from the exchange

download speed = 29332 kbps / 3.666.5KBPS transfer rate
upload speed = 374 kbps / 46.8KBPS transfer rate

very poor results from my i.s.p i thought for £35 each month, when my connection speed has never come close to the up to 20 MB speed they claim to offer.
so my questions are, what speed does your i.s.p advertise, what speed are you actually getting and finally are you happy with your sevice.
