Start mentally counting and tensing up muscles, then when I get to 10 (15, or 20, depends on how upset I am) relaxing them. Helps to calm me down enough to think straighter.

If I just am about to lose it, I'll calmly go in my bedroom, lock the door so I'm not witnessed, and beat the total crap outa my matress with my fists till I'm worn out. Note: haven't had to do this one in 10-15 years.l
