You said the keyword. "Boyfriend". This doesn't sound like a fim and certain thing. First, he's a 1000 miles away and 2nd he's a "boyfriend". No commitment here in my opion it's just as uncertain to pack up and go then to take a stand here and try something new. I would stay. Hope this helps.
